I got to hold sweet Rhyan yesterday! She is so little & cute!

Hoping the weather is good tomorrow so all can cook out and have a good 4th! We do hate fireworks here at the rescue. Please keep your dogs safe in your house during them. There will be many people looking for there lost dogs tomorrow!

The men came out again and looked at the creek...they are looking for solutions...but nothing so far that we can do.

We had a great night out with lots of our friends! Very sucessful if I may say! But very late after we misplaced our keys and had to beg a ride home!! Please read Ozark, he submitted a new story today! Also a new update from Gunny!

Also check out the page (link on the home page)with the pictures of the trees down in the creek. We flooded last Sunday..... I just dont even know where to start to try and fix it! I keep going back down and just staring.... The pictures do not do it justice...

Gunny's article will be in tomorrows Charlotte Observer! The meet & greet is in high gear, trying to get everything organized for tomorrow!

We flooded last night and lost power til this morning at 10am. We crated quite a few of the dogs. Scary.

The tree that is down in the creek is collecting all the upstream debris. I think it is going to be a major flooding problem soon.

I am back from a week with my sisters and mom up in the mountains! It was a great time, weather was fantastic! A wonderful time was had by all! I did miss the dogs though.

Well, Gunny is doing better after his surgery and getting ready for his party on the 24th. Hope all can come out and meet him!

We will be closed on Sunday due to Father's Day.

Beth is in Oregon for a few days off!

My grandchildren will be here any minute for the weekend! My sisters are coming tomorrow for a visit. We will be going up to the mountains for a few days next week.

And Danielle should be having her baby soon! She should also be getting a little something from Beth & I ......hopefully.... soon!

Wally is a handsome, 3 year old brown neutered (heartworm negative) male pit bull mix that is gentle around people. We have had him for two months and have to find a place for him. He is an alpha dog (of course) and is not aggressive at all to females and only to males that come up and challenge him. He likes to play ball and as the attached pictures show, really likes to lie on his back, have his belly rubbed, and get a good kiss on his nose.

Can you please help us. We are in the midst of the "Old Guard" retaking over Valley River Shelter and turning it back into a dog pound on July 1. Wally will be put down immediately by them.

Cancer Walk

Every one was up at 5am today! Kayla, Justin, Brutus & Kona did the walk today. It was hot! All the dogs really liked the kiddy pools along the route. Kona just wanted to hang out in the pool!! Beth sold some signs and t-shirts at our booth! Everyone will sleep good tonight!

Good News!! A very nice lady will be getting Kona & Rippy to foster. If all goes as expected she will be adopting both! Yeah!
